Today’s context

Asian stocks rallied after US and global equity gauges hit records, boosted by the week’s Fed rate cut and an upbeat assessment of the US economy. The MSCI Asia index rose 0.9% on Friday; Japan’s Topix led the region on BOJ rate-hike bets, while Chinese equities underperformed after the leadership signalled no ramp-up in stimulus. The S&P 500 added 0.2% to an all-time high; Nasdaq 100 futures slipped 0.1%. Read: positive clues from US and Asian markets.
